"As a part time resident of Maui from Canada I have had Marianne Curry Insurance handle all my insurance needs for the past 12 years and have been totally satisfied with the service. This past week I ran into an issue that had to be dealt with immediately and I phoned the office and left a detailed message for Joe Zacharzuk. "I really hate to write this review, but I hope this may at least get them to response to my requests before I have to go through the hassle of finding another agency. We have auto insurance with Mr. Curry's office. We were initially quoted with zero deductible and we went with it. But the real price came out to be a bit higher since there was a ticket. No problem, we are OK with that. But it was changed to a higher deductible to lower the price. Although we appreciate the agent's kindness to have a lower payment, we requested to go with the zero deductible, but haven't heard back. With COVID, we can't speak to a real person and left messages after our emails got absolutely no response. I reached out via a message on the Statefarm website and absolutely nothing after nearly two weeks. I called Statefarm 1-800 number to change the policy, but was informed that only Ms. Curry's agent can do it. So after I tried phone calls, emails, messages on website, I do not know what other options I might have. I sometime wonder if they are still in business..."

"I went into State Farm on Kihei looking to get an insurance policy, but unfortunately I left feeling aggrieved. There was an older “gentleman” working that day and when I entered the establishment, he never greeted me and just stared at me like I entered somewhere I shouldn’t be. So, I greeted him to start a dialogue and made sure they weren’t closed for the day (they weren’t). He still hadn’t offered me a seat, he never asked my name or for any information from me. His exact response to me after asking NO questions was, “Trust me. You won’t be able to afford it and you’re going to go broke just trying to make monthly payments”. My fiancé had been checking out the Power House gym next door and just happened to walk in at that moment and couldn’t believe what he just heard! Not realizing we were together, he greets my fiancé! I’m just standing there with tears building up and my partner tells him “money is no issue, we’ll take our business elsewhere”. State Farm Kihei was by far the worse experience I’ve had on this island and they definitely don’t represent the Aloha Āina!"
